Terms and Conditions

When making a booking you agree to abide by the following terms:

The dog walking field can be booked by appointment only using our online booking system. Each booking is private which means you will be the only user present during your time slot. Once you have booked you will receive a gate code to access the field an hour before your appointment starts. This code is changed regularly. Please note that your time slot includes the time it takes you to enter and leave the field – appointments are scheduled back-to-back so please respect the previous and next user’s time and bear in mind that their dogs may be reactive and need their own space. Please also ensure that you do not park in front of the gate before your session until the previous customer has departed.

The booking is personal to the Hirer and may not be transferred or sublet.

You can reschedule any booking, for free, up until five hours before it is due to start. Please visit your original booking confirmation email, click the ‘change time’ button and follow the steps to find new available times.

Bookings can be re-scheduled but are non-refundable.

All bookings must be paid for in advance – by card at the time of booking.

Please be aware that CCTV is in operation to protect our customers and our property.

We reserve the right to refuse permission or evict any person(s) from the premises.

Healthy dogs

Dogs should be adequately vaccinated and wormed. If your dog is showing any signs of illness do not use the field and be respectful of other pets and their owners. Puppies from 11 weeks old (one week after receiving their second vaccinations) are welcome to use the field provided their vaccinations are in place.

Use the field at your own risk

You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk and agree not to hold ‘Stratford Dog Walking Field’, its owners or staff responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends, your vehicles, or your dogs arising from your use of the field. The field is a large outdoor space and contains areas of uneven/ stony/ muddy/ wet ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, has overhanging branches from trees or hedges around the edges which may fall or have fallen and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside. We check and maintain the field regularly to ensure it is fit for use. Due to its nature as an open field, we cannot be held responsible for the activity or any noise from neighbouring fields and areas as these are out of our control, this can occasionally include noise from on neighbouring commercial businesses and farmland, as an example.

We will not accept responsibility for injury, illness, or death of your dog from using our facilities. You are advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.

You agree not to let anyone else onto the field other than any friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs. Your dog remains your responsibility during your visit and should not be left unattended.

By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

You will find a tap for water in the field for hot days – this is for animal use only. The tap runs off a water mains system and we are not responsible for any contamination.

Dog walking fields by their nature are social distancing-friendly and we are cleaning the locks, gates, and bins regularly. Please use the field responsibly and according to current Government guidelines and do not use the field if you feel unwell or have symptoms: use hand sanitiser, gloves etc. and keep your distance from any other walkers.

Children and guests

You are welcome to bring your children, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms and conditions. Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe, and that certain elements may pose an additional hazard to children (non-child proof dog poo bins for example).

The Farm

Due to the field being located on a working farm and where other businesses are operating from, in accordance with the law regarding “responsible dog ownership” you are entirely responsible for yours and your own dogs safety whilst using the field. The law states that you should be in control of your dog at all times. Therefore, all dogs should be kept on leads when not in the secure field.

Smoking, Vaping, BBQ’s & Fires ARE NOT permitted on site under any circumstance.

Although we will be inspecting and maintaining the fences regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to several reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fencing, please let us know immediately by emailing info@stratforddogwalkingfield.co.uk so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot, however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not.

Using the field

You must enter the field and close the gate before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users and members of the public.

It is your responsibility to pick up all of your dog’s waste and dispose of it in the bins provided. Please take any waste with you when you leave, including dog toys and litter. Do not let your dogs dig holes in the field and please discourage them from making excessive noise that may disturb residents and livestock nearby. Anyone found to be misusing the field will be blocked from future bookings. You may not exercise your dog outside of the designated secure dog walking field.

Please ensure that you do not arrive early for your booking and vacate the field leaving it secure at the end of your booking. Padlock the gate and leave the digits returned to 0000. Bookings are back-to-back so please be respectful of others arriving/ leaving for their slot and keep an eye on the time.

Please only park on the hardstanding (i.e., the gravelled area) within the field gate and not on the grass. If you have multiple cars for one booking you can park on the hardstanding outside the field which is signposted “Stratford Dog Walking Field Parking”.

There is no litter bin or toilet on site.

Your booking does not grant you access to any other part of the farm or other businesses on site and is for the hire of the secure field only.

All prospective customers must ensure the field is suitable and secure for their specific use (i.e., fence height, fencing material and proximity to motorists, general public and livestock)

Please note that you will need a torch for early morning or late evening bookings as the field is not floodlit.

Professionals using the field

If you use the field for business purposes i.e., for your dog walking services or training classes you must have public liability insurance to cover your business activities i.e., clients and their dogs, and be able to produce proof if asked upon booking.

We reserve the right to make changes to our Terms and Conditions at any time, without warning. By making a booking, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions on the website at the time of making your booking.
